Frustrated, confused and fed up are the words that best describe how I used to feel about my body.


Have you ever felt this way?

My chubby physique left me feeling low on confidence and unhappy with what I saw in the mirror.


And despite doing what I thought were all the right things, like eating healthy foods and doing loads of exercise, my weight refused to budge.


That annoyed the heck out of me!


A number of years later I managed to work the weight off body but it took superhuman efforts and left me feeling drained.


In my early thirties I trained for 14-18 hours per week to compete in Ironman triathlons.


The endless hours of exercise sure made me lean and very fit, I even qualified for the Ironman 70.3 world championships, but I also felt exhausted and too fatigued to enjoy life. 


It was no way to live and certainly wasn’t healthy. 


What I really wanted was to be in good enough shape to feel confident about my body but not have to dedicate a crazy number of hours exercising so that I could enjoy other important things in life - like spending time with my wife or simply enjoying some time on the sofa watching Netlix!

I found what I was looking for and managed to lose body fat and keep it off for good without living in the gym or giving up my favourite foods. 


And once I stopped falling for the nutrition non-sense I was reading in magazines and instagram and started focusing on the things that actually matter and deliver a real return on investment I discovered that geting and staying in shape was actually pretty easy!


My story taught me 3 things:


1. You dont have to feel trapped inside of a body you feel unhappy and unconfident about. You can change - all of us can change. 


2. You can get leaner, firmer and healthier without eating like a bird or training like an olympic athlete.


3. Losing weight and keeping it off forever does not need to be a miserable, confusing or frustrating process.
